Work has begun on detailed plans for a major re-development of this centre, but their implementation depends on a successful bid for a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Plans include a larger and more interactive visitor centre, with information about the different theories about the battle and its location, and a new Buttery, built around the frame from a fourteenth century tithe barn.

This year’s society trip to Bosworth falls on the 519th anniversary of the battle, on Sunday 22nd August.
