Christmas Lunch - December 7

Article from page 8 of Dickon Independent issue 51

Christmas lunch was our first meeting in this new venue, but Holy Innocents Church Hall in Kidderminster was an immediate success. Just as well, as we’re back there on the 10th January!

Pat again did us proud with a wonderful three course Christmas lunch, with plenty of choice, and enough to satisfy even the hungriest.

Members and guests all had a very pleasant afternoon. The collection instead of Christmas cards was for St James’ Church, Oddingley. In the stained glass are the arms of Richard, Duke of York, as King of England, when he claimed the throne in October 1460.

Thanks to Pat and Margaret for the cooking and washing up, and Jane and June for setting out the tables, selling the tickets and organising the raffle. Once again Ralph the chairman won a prize!
