The oak pulpit at St Mary and All Saints, Fotheringhay, dates from the middle of the fifteenth century and has been restored to its original colours. Inside, on the back, are the arms of Edward IV. On the panel to the right of the arms is the white boar of Richard, Duke of Gloucester, who was born in Fotheringhay Castle on October 2nd 1452.
