Christmas Party - December 8

This was our usual Bring and Share Christmas party at Upton Snodsbury village hall. It was a very relaxed enjoyable affair with plenty of time to talk, eat and drink. The range of food available was superb and very tasty. Some members were missing due to ill health and we sent them our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Brenda and David had prepared two quizzes to test our Ricardian knowledge. Each table made up a team. I was with Pat Hibbs and Judith and Paul Sealey. We called ourselves The Leicester Diggers and were fortunate enough to answer most questions correctly. Our prize was a tube of Rowntrees pastilles each. It’s years since I’d had any and I really enjoyed them! Thank you Brenda and David!

The first quiz was 19 questions about all things Ricardian and medieval. The second consisted of a family tree of the Houses of York and Lancaster with some members missing, which we correctly identified.
